What contributions do you and your employer make
ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension) is a statutory and collective pension scheme that all employers and wage earners make contributions to. The wage earner pays a third of the total pension contribution, amounting to DKK 1,136 per year. The employer pays two thirds of the total pension contributing, amounting to DKK 2,272 per year.

The average wage earner adds DKK 3,408 to their savings per year. In 2020, there was contributed DKK 10.7 bn to ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension) which we at ATP administer and manage.

Guaranteed pensions
As a pension company, we take good care of your savings. 80 per cent of the total contributions to the ATP savings are allocated to the guaranteed pensions so that we can continue to provide a basic financial security for Danes.
Management
Investments that generate good returns
20 per cent of the total contributions are allocated to the bonus potential and invested in a diverse portfolio including everything from equities to real estate. The purpose of the investments is to create good returns that allow us to extend and increase the guaranteed pensions.
Payments
ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension)
ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension) is paid out automatically when you become an old-age pensioner. The payments consist of the guaranteed pensions, adjusted for the bonuses that have been added on an ongoing basis.
If you have made contributions to ATP for your entire working life and if you retire at the age of 66, you will be paid DKK 25,200 per year. In 2020, DKK 17.2 bn was paid out. On average, each pensioner received DKK 15,400.
